From runway model to making her acting debut on of the biggest Netflix shows out right now, Hoyeon Jung is the name on everyone’s lips.
Since premiering on Netflix on September 17, Squid Game has become one of the most talked about series in the world. Netflix CEO believes the show has the potential of being the biggest Netflix show in history.
The show is a dystopian series featuring Hoyeon Jung as the pick-pocket North Korean refugee, No 67 a.k.a Saebyeok. This role has pushed the Korean model into superstardom, as her Instagram followers just hit the mark of 10 million.
Her future in the movie industry is bright, it is only natural to want to know about this new talent.

Not only is she skilled at acting, Hoyeon Jung has graced the runway of many fashion brands in the past. She began modelling at age 16 and participated in the fourth season of Korea’s Next Top Model, finishing at third place. Jung has walked for many well known brands from Chanel to Jacquemus.
- Squid Game is her acting debut
Prior to Squid Game, Hoyeon Jung has no acting experience. Her story is one of a million, as she seemingly gained fame overnight.
“I was preparing for New York Fashion Week when my agency asked me to send over an audition video. All I did during that time other than eat was to read the script,” she shared at a press conference. “Later, the director wanted to meet me in person, so I flew back to Korea.”
