American actor, Alec Baldwin has finally spoken about the accidental discharge of a prop gun that resulted in the death of Halyna Hutchins.
Earlier, Eelive reported the incident involving the award winning actor. Baldwin was on the set of ‘Rust’, a low budget movie he was Co-producing when he accidentally discharged a prop gun, killing Hutchins, the movie’s director of photography. This also injured the movie’s director, Joel Souza.
This happened on Thursday at Santa Fe County in New Mexico.
On Friday, the actor expressed his shock and heartbreak at the incident in a series of tweets. He stated that there are no words to convey his shock regarding the “tragic accident” that killed Hutchins. He wrote,
“There are no words to convey my shock and sadness regarding the tragic accident that took the life of Halyna Hutchins, a wife, mother and deeply admired colleague of ours.”
He revealed that he has been cooperating with the police amid the ongoing investigation into the matter. The star further revealed that he has contacted the deceased’s family to offer his support to them. He continued,
“I’m fully cooperating with the police investigation to address how this tragedy occurred and I am in touch with her husband, offering my support to him and his family. My heart is broken for her husband, their son, and all who knew and loved Halyna.”
