Nigerian afro-pop giant and our current fave, Burna Boy shut down the iconic Apollo Theatre during one of the stops for his “African Giant” tour this weekend.
The energy was on a different level, it was “spirishual” according to dancer Iziegbe Odigie who performed “Killin Dem” alongside Burna Boy on stage.
Performed with @burnaboy last night at the Apollo theater 🎭.

The Apollo Theatre was opened to the public in 1914 and rebranded in 1934. It has since become a noted venue for African-American performers.
With his performance there, Burna Boy has joined the impressive list of artists who have performed at the Apollo theatre. This list includes Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Michael Jackson, The Supremes, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Elton John, Smokey Robinson, Gladys Knight, The Pips, The Jacksons, Quincy Jones, Chaka Khan, Patti LaBelle and D’Angelo.
