American actress, Nicey Nash and husband, Jay Tucker are finally making their split official.
According to TMZ, Nicey Nash, 49, filed for divorce in Los Angeles on Thursday. In October, the “Claws” star announced her split from her husband but said they were still on good terms.
“We believe in the beauty of truth. Always have. Our truth is that in this season of our lives, we are better friends than partners in marriage,” they wrote in a joint statement shared on Nash’s Instagram account .“Our union was such a gorgeous ride. And as we go our separate ways now, we feel fortunate for the love we share — present tense. Thank you all out there for your support of us as a couple over the last eight years. We are grateful.”
The pair was reportedly spending a lot of time apart while Nash worked on “Claws,” and Tucker was also reportedly displeased with her sex scenes.
“Niecy got a brand-new body right before she went to film ‘Claws’ down in New Orleans and that’s when their troubles began,” a source told The Daily Mail. “Jay was really uncomfortable with her graphic sex scenes on the show and that made their problems worse. They were living in two different cities and Jay expressed he didn’t like his wife being in New Orleans while he was in LA.”
Nash and Tucker got engaged in 2010. Months later, they got married in Malibu in May 2011. She was previously married to minister Don Nash, with whom she shares three children.
