American actor Tommy “Tiny” Lister, renowned for his role as the neighborhood bully, “Deebo” in the 1995 film, Friday has passed on.
Cindy Cowan, his manager said that Lister died on Thursday in Marina del Rey, California after displaying symptoms of COVID-19 in recent days. She revealed that he had cancelled the movie he was working on following his illness.
Cowan described the deceased as “a wonderful guy with a heart of gold.” “Everyone loved him. A real gentle giant. We’re all devastated,” she added.
The movie star was also a professional wrestler. He wrestled Hulk Hogan in the World Wrestling Federation after appearing as “Zeus” in 1989 movie No Holds Barred.
Tommy Lister was born in Campton, California on June 24, 1958. He was born blind in his right eye due to a detached and deformed retina.
On August 31, 2012, he agreed to plead guilty to conspiring to commit mortgage fraud in a scheme that led to $3.8 million in losses. He was charged with fraudulently buying homes in order to withdraw $1.1 million in home equity loans. In April 2014, he got out on bail and escaped going to prison.
The films he has starred in include The Dark Knight, Jackie Brown, The Players Club, and Posse.

He also played “Klaang”, the first Klingon to make contact with humans in the pilot of Star Trek: Enterprise.
