Nigerian actor and comedian Ijoba Lande has taken to social media to share a shocking account of his experience working with popular Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele.
In a viral video, Lande recounted how he was paid a meager N90,000 for a month’s work, despite his excitement and anticipation of a life-changing opportunity.
Lande’s story began when Funke Akindele reached out to him via direct message after being impressed by one of his videos. He was thrilled at the prospect of working with the renowned actress and eagerly accepted the offer. However, his enthusiasm was short-lived.
Upon arriving at Funke Akindele’s residence in Amen Estate, Lande was surprised to find that she was not as approachable as he had expected. Despite spending an entire month working at her estate, he was unable to take a single picture with her, citing her unapproachable demeanor and his personal dislike for begging for photos.

The terms of Lande’s employment were outlined in a contract presented by a producer named Wendy, which stipulated a monthly payment of N90,000. Lande signed the contract, assuming it was a mere formality, but was shocked when he received the paltry sum at the end of the month.
In the viral video, he advised his colleagues to recognize their worth and demand fair compensation, rather than being intimidated by influential figures in the industry. He vowed to bill anyone who approaches him for work, regardless of their status or fame.
