Actor, Cuba Gooding Jr. Accused of Rape

Oscar-winning actor, Cuba Gooding Jr. is currently enmeshed in a new rape allegation.

In a lawsuit that was filed on Tuesday, the victim identified in the court papers as Jane Doe alleged that the 53-year-old actor raped her in his New York hotel room back in 2013.

According to the lawsuit, Gooding committed a crime of violence and violated the law on the basis of gender. The victim says he caused her physical and emotional injury and is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.

The woman stated that she met the actor at a Greenwich Village VIP lounge and followed him to his hotel room on his invitation. He allegedly began to undress in front of her, and when she tried to leave, he blocked the door, pushed her to the bed and raped her twice.

On his part, Mark Heller, Gooding’s attorney said that the allegations against his client are “false and perjurious”

“The allegations against Cuba Gooding Jr. are false and perjurious,” said Heller. “There was absolutely no conduct committed in a criminal nature as alleged.”

“We expect the case to be dismissed,” Heller continued. “It was an alleged incident that took place over seven years ago with no criminal complaint at the time.”

This is not the first time the actor will be accused of sexual assault. He is currently facing six counts of sexual abuse and forcible touching. Even though he pleaded guilty, if convicted, he will be spending some time in jail.
