7 Songs To Spice Up Your Weekend

We at eelive.ng are aware it’s been a tough week, heavy rains, bad roads, overbearing bosses and the occasional annoying family members. We want to ease all that tension as we provide the world’s most proven remedy for stress – GOOD MUSIC!

In no particular order, here are 7 Songs we’re jamming to at the moment, check them out, plug in your headphones/speakers and just vibe;

Only One – Peruzzi

Off his forthcoming “Huncho Vibes” album, Peruzzi drops this brand new love song. The interesting thing about his music is that though he sings love songs half the time, each one has its own peculiarity. So he is either singing for different girls at different times or he is just that versatile. The song produced by Speroach Beatz.

Don’t Call Me Back – Joeboy ft. Mayorkun

Empawa/Banku Music artiste Joeboy, is on wave in recent times and he does one better in featuring the “Mayor of Lagos”, Mayorkun in a feel-good but banging tune. This is definitely going to pop for a while.

Nobody’s Fool – Chidinma

Singer/Songwriter, Chidinma, may not be buzzing as she used to but one thing we know that she hasn’t lost her sonorous voice. Thia song is the official soundtrack to the upcoming Nollywood Biopic – “The Herbert Macaulay Affair”. The song was produced by Charlie X and SizzlePro.

Yeye Boyfriend – Zlatan

Zlatan wages musical warfare on this track, as he intends to get rid of useless boyfriends.
“Yeye” is a humorous Yoruba term often used to describe someone as “useless” or “senseless”.
On the song, the singer provides all the possible reasons for breaking up with time-wasting boyfriends. The song is a change of pace for the artiste, as it features him singing lightheartedly rather than delivering the gritty rap sound he’s known for.
Zlatan is also gearing up for his debut album “Zanku: The Album”, which will be released before the year runs out.

Risky – Davido ft. Popcaan

Davido features his Jamaican counterpart, Poopcaan as he gives us a taste of his upcoming album – “A Good Time”, which is set to drop on November 22.
The track notably features Davido doing a cheeky flip of a hilarious freestyle he did earlier this year, which was made fun of across social media. Speroach Beatz produced the afrofusion-meets-dancehall sound.

Work (Living in Bondage) – Larry Gaaga ft. Davido

Larry Gaaga may not be doing much of singing on his own songs but he has no problem topping charts, which we think this tune will do. The song is one of the soundtracks off the forthcoming remake of the 1992 Nollywood classic, “Living in Bondage”.
Davido’s sensual vocals sits atop an uplifting but slow beat from Gaaga that has crisp percussion hits with a progressive tempo keeping the tempo moving.  This is definitely a “sing to your baby in the morning” kind of vibe.

Mr. Boombastic EP – BlaqBonez

After warning Kanye West to move the release date off his album, the self-acclaimed best rapper in Africa has released his highly anticipated and much talked about EP. The Choc City rapper comes through with the 7-track body of work which houses guest appearances from Falz and Blackmagic.
