Martin Scorsese’s Silence was released in 2016. The film was about one of the most challenging topics to ever explore using a movie, but Scorsese did it right and justified the story well.
There is no denying that the movie characters did well in delivering the movie’s message and story. The film was all about two missionaries who travelled to Japan in search of their missing mentor who seems to be breaking the law by promoting Catholicism.

2. Her
This science-fiction romance was written, led and developed by Spike Jonze; that was a highly successful movie. The movie follows Theodore Twombly through his latest divorce, played by Joaquin Phoenix. By buying an operating system, he attempts to heal his broken heart but ends up falling in love.
The feelings, the sound, the colours, everything about this film was stellar. The production team just pushed this out of the field.
3. Unforgiven
Clint Eastwood directed and starred in Unforgiven. It was the official start of his career in western movies after this movie gained praises from the critics.
The story of the film revolves around an ageing outlaw who left his old life after having a family; then forced to go back to business for a specific reason and request which he can’t refuse. The movie showed what the meaning of violence is truthfully and without a filter.

4. There Will Be Blood
This movie, There Will Be Blood, is a type of movie which shows how and what people can do when they are consumed by greed and love for capitalism.
Paul Thomas Andrson directed this film, and it gained him a nomination for Best Director. The stars in the film were Daniel Day-Lewis and Paul Dano, who fight over control of the oil.
5. The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford
The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford is one of the most overlooked films ever; which is strange because it’s a really good movie. This film requires time to create characters and to develop a piece; unlike the classic western movie, which only has a whole lot of battles.
Brad Pitt and Casey Affleck strengthened the personality of their protagonists; making the movie what it was. This film was made impressive by the blend of action with the excellent camera work to create the physical aspect like a portrait.
