After being closed for months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, cinemas are finally open and showing the latest movies out of Nollywood and Hollywood.

1. Day of Destiny
Day of Destiny (DOD) follows two brothers, Chidi (Olumide Oworu) and Rotimi (Denola Grey) who are unhappy with their family’s fate. The boys meet with a witch doctor who helps them travel 20 years into the past; in an attempt to change the financial fortune of their family.
2. Soul
This movie follows a musician who has lost his passion for music and is somehow transported out of his body. He must find his way back with the help of an infant soul learning about herself.
3. Nneka the Pretty Serpent
In the midst of the war between land and sea, it is revealed to Queen mother that another will become her successor. In her quest to keep ruling, Queen mother decides to kill the chosen one.
On the journey to revenge, Nneka discovers wealth, power and love. Will Nneka discover the truth about Queen mother’s deceit or will she continue her journey to revenge?
4. Love, Wedding, and Other Disasters
This movie is a multi-story romantic comedy about the people who work on weddings to create the perfect day for a loving couple – while their own relationships are outlandish, odd, crazy and far from perfect.
5. Omo Ghetto
Omo Ghetto (The Saga) is a movie about Lefty and her squad (Nikky, Chummy Choko and Busty) who grew up in the ghetto together. Lefty gets adopted alongside her twin sister, Ayomide, and moves to an upper-class neighbourhood.
Despite the affluence and the new environment; Lefty still finds herself going back to the ghetto, and gets into the biggest trouble of her life.
