Five Films that Exceeded Expectations

movies

It is not surprising to hear that there are movies that do not meet the expectations of most viewers or did not deliver its promise to its supporters for fans. There were a lot of movies like that, and you guys have probably seen at least one in your whole life.

Well, on the other hand, some movies did exceed the expectations of many, especially when it’s created by a hard-working team, not only in front of the camera but all the people who were involved in that movie.

1. The Grand Budapest Hotel

The Grand Budapest Hotel was one of the movies to be ever remembered by the people who have seen it. It was indeed one of the greatest works of director Wes Anderson. The movie was so good that to the point that Wes was given an Academy Award nomination for it.

Just to add, it was also the highest-grossing film that Wes Anderson ever directed. Is there anything else that we need to tell just for you to believe that the movie was perfect? The story was all about a lobby who was working for the Budapest Hotel.

2. John Wick

Well, who else hasn’t watched this film with Keanu Reeves? Can someone tell others who haven’t seen this film how good this movie is? I’m not only talking about the story of the film but also Keanu Reeves’ performance in this; totally on point!

The film was about a retired professional assassin who lost her wife and was forced to come back to business after getting his dog killed by the son of his former client. The sequels are good too, but they don’t come close.

3. Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind

The people behind this movie indeed did a great job as this movie is still being remembered up to this day for how good it was. It was an American science fiction and romantic film all in one. It’s written by Charlie Kaufman and directed by Michel Gondry.

The main characters in this movie were Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet. The story was about the two characters having a relationship that soon came to an end. It then resulted in the two undergoing a specific procedure to erase each other from their minds and memories.

4. Mad Max: Fury Road

Mad Max: Fury Road is all about an almost-feral, post-apocalyptic human who ends up on a mission to help protect women from violent attacks. The story itself is fascinating, but it only stands out because of the action and special effects.

The stunts are mostly genuine, as are the high-speed vehicles. The screenplay of this movie was collaborated by Miller, Brendan McCarthy, and Nico Lathouris. The film went through development hell for how many years as the team encountered a lot of struggles in filming, etc.

5. Pan’s Labyrinth

Five years after the Spanish Civil War, this dark film combines history with a future fantasy vision and has been a tremendous work. Pan’s Labyrinth was all about a young woman, whose name is Ofelia, who found magical creatures somewhere and made her decide which fate to take herself in.

The components of the movie were undeniably, aggressive and emotional. However, the camera works and the acting skills shown by the actors were indeed at best that it made the film successful.
