First ever winner of Big-Brother Naija, Katung Aduwak is releasing his debut movie, a psychological drama titled “Heaven’s Hell” today.
The movie based on a true-life story is about two women – Tsola, who is being abused emotionally and mentally by her husband, and Alice who is being abused physically and mentally by her husband.
Why you should run to the cinemas to catch this movie?
1. The movie features an impressive cast made up of Nollywood’s finest: Nse Ikpe-Etim, Bimbo Akintola, Damilola Adegbite, OC Ukeje, Gideon Okeke, Linda Ejiofor, Chet Anekwe, Kalu Ikeagwu, Bimbo Manuel, Katherine Obiang, Femi Jacobs, Waje, and Fabian Lojede.
2. This is Katung’s first attempt at producing and directing a movie after supervising other minor projects and studying the fine art of film making at prestigious institutes.
3. Because Katung says: “I think Heaven’s Hell will feel as real to many as it felt to me when I heard the original story, as real as it felt to the original characters too because there is a victim in almost everyone we know, we have all just become really great at masking our true issues in order to be accepted and validated by society. No one is worth putting up fronts for… in fact almost everything you see on social media is not real, it’s just a place where people can get validation.”
“Heaven’s Hell” premieres today Friday, May 10, 2019, in theatres nationwide.
