Afropop star, Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba has announced the release date for Warriors, his forthcoming studio album.
The 44-year-old record producer and entrepreneur took to his Instagram page on Friday; there he disclosed that the body of work will be released on February 28.
Although, the award-winning singer did not reveal the number of tracks to make the project nor the artistes he has enlisted for it. 2Baba, however, encouraged his fans to “anticipate” as the album “is for warriors.”
Warriors will be coming as a follow-up to Ascension, Idibia’s 2014 project; which succeeds the likes of Face2Face, Unstoppable and Grass to Grace among others— released in the previous years.
The singer, who made his first studio appearance back in 2004, is one of the most decorated and bankable Afropop artists in Africa.
Also, 2Baba has remained a household name in the continent’s music industry since the release of classic hit Knock me Off as a member of the now-defunct Plantashun Boiz in 1999.
Additionally, with over 2 decades of showbusiness experience under his belt, Idibia, in December 2019, had staged his ’20 Years A King’ concert, receiving a number of awards thereafter to that effect.
