The Recording Academy have now announced that the 2022 Grammy nominations will be revealed on Tuesday, November 23.
The nominees for the upcoming awards could be significantly different from recent years, as the Academy has now eliminated the “secret” nominating committees of artists, creators and industry experts that curated the final award lists over the past couple of decades.
The nominees will now be chosen by the broader Grammy voting body. This comes after a subsequent overhaul of the Academy’s awards team after last year’s controversial nominations.
The controversial award nominations saw The Weeknd, who had one of the most successful albums of the year end up with no nominations.
